35 days to go . . .

... but only 14 days for X-MAS

X-mas is just around the corner and there are so many things to do and a day still has 24 hours.

I miss the holiday season in New York. There is so much to see and to discover, for example "window-watching" at 5th Ave, the tree at Rockefeller Center and all the great x-mas Parties. Some people might think it is a little bit too much, but no! it is just right for a city like New York.
There is no way to hide for christmas, it is all around. Thousands of tourists are running through the city trying to find the best offers. An they are standing in front of Sax's while the lightplay is projected at the wall. As a real New Yorker you know when and where you have to go to avoid this crowd ;-)

In the following articles I will give you an idea about what is happening in the city. Some things are mainstream but I will guide you to small places besides the main attractions.

Today I want to start with the Christmas Tree at the Rockefeller Center

It is located at 601 5th Avenue, New York, NY - right in the epicentre of christmas spirit !

You even have a skating rink, bars and restaurants with a great view an this huge and colorful tree. Unfornately there is no possibility to have a hot "Glühwein" but there are other drinks to keep you warm.

While you are at the Rockefeller Center, you can visit the "Top of the Rock" - terasse at the center. You will have a wonderful view at Empire State Building and when you are back you can have lunch at "Alfredo of Roma", where you get great italian food.

It is located just around the corner at 4 West 49th Street

I <3 New York !
